Takes only 2 balls of WAK The Wool!

Cadenza is a tall, deliciously chunky, oversized horseshoe cable cowl. It begins with a provisional cast on, then is knitted flat in stockinette. It employs an adventurous construction of cables worked over two rows, and is then grafted together with kitchener stitch to form an invisibly seamed tube.
The way the cables twist like rolling waves around the wearer remind me of beautiful cadenzas at the end of a classical piece of music. Let these cables adorn your neck like the notes of a cadenza adorn the final bars of a musical masterpiece!

Materials:

- Super-Bulky Yarn (2 balls of WAK The Wool) Approx. 170 yards, 155 meters
- Size 10mm/US15, 30-32 in circular knitting needles (to relieve hand strain-pattern is knit flat)
- 2 Cable Needles and/or Stitch Holder
- Optional: Size 10mm Crochet Hook (for provisional cast-on)
- Scrap yarn (for provisional cast-on)
- Tapestry Needle

Finished Dimensions:

Measurements: 30 in (76.2 cm) circumference, 7.5 in (19 cm) height (top to bottom)

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner- Intermediate

A Note About Kitchener Stitch:

I recommend becoming familiar with the kitchener stitch before starting this pattern. If it’s too tricky, you may cast on and off and seam the ends together in your preferred method, however, other methods will leave a visible seam (unlike the kitchener stitch).
